At-a-glance fuel range bar for live race decisions.

Fuel strategy in iRacing shouldn’t feel like guesswork.

You’re managing traffic, tires, incidents, and pace — and you're still responsible for fuel math.

One miscalculation and you’re coasting to the line, or pitting early and losing positions.

  • Manual fuel math is distracting — especially in long races.
  • “Go one more?” is a gamble — most tools don’t show where fuel ends.
  • Small mistakes compound — endurance racing punishes guesswork.

A clear, simple iRacing fuel range bar built for race decisions.

RangeBot reads your live telemetry and shows how many laps remain — and where the car will run out of fuel on the next lap.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is RangeBot?

RangeBot is an iRacing fuel calculator and pit strategy tool. It tells you how many laps you can run on your current fuel tank.

How does this iRacing fuel calculator work?

RangeBot reads your fuel usage and lap times from iRacing telemetry and calculates an estimated fuel-per-lap number. Using that, it predicts how many laps you can complete, highlights your “out-of-fuel” lap, and suggests how far into the last lap you can get, at your current rate of consumption. Allowing the driver to easily manage pace get the longest stints possible.

Why use a fuel calculator instead of iRacing’s built-in tools?

iRacing shows fuel remaining, but it doesn’t always make it obvious whether you can safely go one more lap or how a pit stop will affect your stint plan. RangeBot is focused on that decision: it turns your fuel data into a clear, visual answer so you can focus on driving instead of doing mental math.

Is RangeBot allowed under the iRacing Terms of Service?

RangeBot is designed to work like other popular third-party apps that read the official iRacing telemetry API. It does not automate driving or exploit the sim; it simply helps you interpret your own data for better fuel and pit strategy decisions. Always make sure to review the latest iRacing Terms of Service yourself.

What types of races is this fuel calculator best for?

RangeBot is especially useful for endurance and fuel-limited races where pit timing matters: GT endurance events, multi-class races, and any series where running out of fuel is a real risk. It also works for shorter sprint races if you want tighter control over fuel load and pit windows.

Which cars and tracks in iRacing does RangeBot support?

RangeBot is being built to work with any car and track combination that exposes the standard iRacing telemetry channels. As long as iRacing can report your fuel level and lap data, the fuel calculator can learn your usage and provide strategy suggestions.

Is RangeBot free?

RangeBot is currently in early development with a free waitlist. Initial versions of the iRacing fuel calculator will likely be free or low-cost while we gather feedback. Long term, we plan to offer a paid tier with more advanced pit strategy and coaching features.

How can I get early access?
